Urban Lions are a touring band and sound system based in the southwest of England, currently rising up through the underground UK roots and dub scene and out onto the world stage.
Urban Lions are firing up the dance with headline sets at festivals and venues all over the UK and overseas with a feisty fusion of roots, dub, steppers, bashment, ska, rocksteady beats, filthy horns, skanking rhythms and conscious rhymes.

That year Urban Lions secured a record deal with Amsterdam based label ‘Earth Works Records’ (Jah Works) to record and release debut EP ‘Urban Lions In Amsterdam’, a live and direct six track offering which set the precedent for Urban Lions as the rising stars of the UK reggae scene.
With a reshuffle of the line up, a tightened sound and the addition of a horn section in 2017, the band got busier on the UK live circuit, fired up their own soundsysyem, playing some of the sickest nights about and met up with renowned dub producer, Matt Martin (Woodland Records /Conscious Youth /MOA) who recorded, mixed and mastered a series of songs for the band.
The first three tracks have been released as singles on Phil Brady’s new label ‘Lionheart Records’ both online and on vinyl with distribution deals in Europe and the UK.
The Trilogy of ‘See Me Rise’, ‘Forward To The Sound’ and ‘Together Mighty’ are out now through Lionheart Records online.
Debut single ‘See Me Rise’ will be out on heavy 12″ vinyl with full colour sleeve, in the shops in the spring with more vinyl releases out in the summer of 2018.
Urban Lions are currently in the studio recording their debut album which will be released on Lionheart Records later in the year.
